What Is the 118th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade?

The Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade is a popular holiday celebration featuring boats decorated with colorful lights and creative Christmas displays. During the parade, beautifully illuminated boats travel through Newport Harbor while spectators watch from waterfront locations, homes, restaurants, and boats.

For many families, couples, and groups of friends, watching the parade from the water is one of the most exciting ways to enjoy the event.

A boat rental allows you to get closer to the action while enjoying the harbor atmosphere with your own group.

Why Watch the Christmas Boat Parade From a Boat?

There are several reasons people choose a boat instead of watching from land.

1. Enjoy a Waterfront View

Being on the water gives you a different perspective of the illuminated boats and harbor scenery. You can enjoy the parade without being limited to a single viewing location.

2. Celebrate With Your Own Group

A private boat can be a comfortable option for families, friends, couples, or small groups who want to celebrate together.

3. Make Your Holiday Celebration Special

Whether you are celebrating Christmas, planning a holiday gathering, or simply looking for a memorable seasonal activity, a boat ride through Newport Harbor can make the evening feel special.

Tips for a Better Parade Experience

Arrive Early

Give yourself enough time to find parking, locate the departure point, and complete any required check-in before your scheduled trip.

Check the Weather

Conditions can affect your comfort on the water. Check the forecast before heading out and follow the rental provider's guidance regarding weather-related changes.

Confirm Your Reservation

Before the event, verify your booking details, departure time, meeting location, group size, and any special instructions.

Follow Boat Safety Rules

Listen carefully to the boat operator or crew and follow all safety instructions. Children should be supervised throughout the trip, and everyone should remain seated or positioned as instructed when necessary.
